Associate Biography: Roger Acton

Highly experienced, pragmatic and commercial general manager with strong leadership, customer service and communication skills who is sought out for his facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.

Over 20 years experience of general management, business change management and IT management experience in retail, hospitality and executive advisory businesses.

Highly respected for his ability to develop individuals and teams to their maximum potential.

During the past 7 years has coached, mentored and advised many senior executives in large UK and multinational organisations.

Originally trained in retail operations, made a career move into Change Management and IT in the mid 1980’s.

Since 1990 has held senior executive positions with Gartner (Regional Vice President) The Thresher Group (Business Change & IT Director), Whitbread PLC (Information Systems Director) and Pizza Hut (Systems Director).

Extensive experience of working in PLCs, private equity, joint ventures and franchised businesses together with extensive merger and acquisition experience.

International business experience gained with Whitbread’s operations in France, Germany and Canada, PepsiCo (Pizza Hut) in the USA, Gartner in South Africa.

Qualifications: BSc – Sheffield Hallam University, Diploma in Executive Coaching – The Iron Mill Institute
